Manage library access names are missing

Server Version#:1.43.3.10861
Player Version#:4.160.0

When trying to manage library access for any particular user the library names are not displaying on the library selection screen.

Ive tried accessing these settings on multiple browsers, and directly on the server its self and its the same across the board.

I currently run 2 Plex servers, my main dedicated server and a portable instance on my laptop for travelling. the portable laptop instance doesn’t have this issue, which you can seen the screens. so this issue seems to be specific to my main servers Plex configuration.

Any ideas how to repair this?

Try a different web browser.
Disable browser add-ins.
Compare the local version of the web app with the hosted web app.

ive tried 4 different browsers

through Plex web and locally via 127.0.0.1 and computer.local

all display the same thing.

also to note that if you look at the screenshots, you’ll see 2 servers, one server doesn’t have the issue, so it can’t be a browser display issue, must be some kind of database issue perhaps.

One other observation I should have pointed out is 1 out of 28 library names show up on the affected server, right at the bottom of the list called “Sports”

So I decided to create a new test library to see if that displays, and it does.

Do other library names also contain Emoji?
You might wanna avoid them.

Yup ive just figured it out at the same time as you.

If you place the Emoji before the title name it makes the library name blank.

But it you place it after the name its fine.

What’s strange tho is the sports library is unaffected

Could you share a couple of the library titles that you were using?

Yeah sure,

:clapper_board: Film

:television: Television

:movie_camera: Documentary

:fox: Cartoon

It did seem like any emoji before the text caused the problem

Anything else unique about these libraries?

I’m not able to easily reproduce

Its only in the “Manage Library Access” section when you edit which libraries a user has access too

Thanks! I see it now.
