Managed user or full user for a device?

Hello,

I’ve sat down and figured out the server issue, so I’m finally getting everything going in the house.

I noticed that we get to have managed accounts and I was wondering if I could just use a managed account for something like the system that I have for the main tv, and any other such devices I might have in the future. Or should I just make a regular account and share to that account?

when you add any users to your Plex Home ( managed or a regular account ) it also enables the user switcher on any device anyone in the home is signed into. You won’t want someone switching to you so make sure you put a PIN on your account if you do. You can make the app auto sign in so it skips switcher being presented on start up but anyone can still switch from menu.

A difference between managed users and a Regular uses is regular uses have passwords so they can sign into additional devices on their own. ( obviously regular users can have their own server and have other people share with them separate from you )

Thanks! The PIN is pretty nice feature. I just want a front end that can’t edit anything for use on the assorted devices, so I think that the managed user should work for that.
