PMS Version: 1.13.4.5271
OS: Windows 7
All my media sits within 1 main folder named “TV Shows”, and then in their respective folders under that for each show.
Within PMS I have a library set up for each group of users e.g. each library is called “TV Shows” but the folders they watch are different. One for my brothers, one for my parents etc. So in total I have 5 libraries set up all called “TV Shows” and each monitors a separate folder.
In windows I then have separate folders for each group e.g. “TV Shows - Mum”, “TV Shows - Dad”, “TV Shows - Brothers”.
I have then set up symbolic links in those folders for each show they watch. So as an episode of a show is added to the main “TV Shows” folder, if a symbolic link for that show’s main folder exists in “TV Shows - Mum” it will then be picked up and added within PMS for her account only, or if watched by multiple groups, in each one.
I have all users set up as Managed Users under Plex Home.
I don’t know if this has been happening the entire time, as I wasn’t paying attention to it, but it’s not marking episodes as watched in PMS when they’re watched by each user. These include a mixture of episodes watched outside of the home network being streamed/transcoded, and episodes being watched within the home network which are direct. I am going to try and test it further on multiple accounts with streaming/direct to see if it’s a specific device or not.
I don’t know if this is specific to my set up, or if it’s a general bug within PMS. I’d be interested to know if others are experiencing this?
