Just wanted to ask a question regarding Locked fields. I took a browse through metadata_items and noticed the "lockedFields=1|2" under the "user_fields" column. It seems easy enough to figure out which numbers match which fields but when I locked all fields in a movie I noticed there are some numbers missing from the "lockedFields" value.
lockedFields=1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|13|14|15|16|17|18|24
I'm just curious what fields 9, 10, 11, 12, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and (if any) all above 24, are for? I get the feeling they might be for a different library type, like TV Shows, Home Videos, etc. but some verification would be appreciated!
So I guess you're not going to answer any of my quetions then..?
As almost everyone else appears to be gettings answers within a day or two, and I have 4 questions without a single reply after a week, I can only assume I'm being ignored..? Is there any reason why? Usually I am patient but as stated, everyone else is being attended to but me...I'm trying to help your project out as much as help myself, and like all contributors we are all working to improve your project for free; at the least you could respond to one of them stating you'll look into it, or sorry for the delay, or welcome to our for forums? I don't know? etc...
Right now I am working on a desktop utility to help resolve manually having to editing mass item data. Afterwards my plans "were" to create a couple video channels, as well as a scraper for documentaries, but I guess none of this will come to light if nobody is going to answer me? Two of the questions really don't need more then a "Yes you can" or "no you can't" type of answer, so how could this be so hard to reply..?
Just to put this into perspecitve from a contributors perspective...
If I receive one answer every two weeks, and I have 10 questions before I can complete my project, it will take me roughly 5 months from start to finish when the actual project should not have taken more then a day or two...tops? Who in there right mind would continue working on such a project given such delays...especially when there is no monetary or professional gain from it? Another thought to keep in mind is that the faster contributors learn, the faster they can start answering forum questions for you; then you can ignore people ten-fold without worrying about whether people have been attended to or not. ;)
In closing, I'd like to be able to help Plex grow and become better and better; like I did with XBMC for many years giving IRC support, releasing custom builds, python scripts/plugins, skinning, etc., but unfortunately I cannot do any of this without your help getting started...
So c'mon guys... Help me... Help you!! (Yes, I went there ;))
