Considering how mobile devices usually adjust their brightness based on environment, a manual way to push up or down the brightness while video is being played will be very useful. A lot of other static media players on mobile platforms offer this feature.
It’s especially useful for HDR content where max brightness is preferable for best viewing.
There’s an existing suggestion to improve gesture support on mobile apps, incl. a gesture to change the brightness during playback.
Not sure if that’s covering what you’re aiming for or if you want to keep a separate suggestion focusing specifically on the brightness option?!
Weirdly enough, that didn’t show up when I searched before posting.
Don’t really know what to say, it’s not the gesture part that interests me, it’s brightness controls, which at the moment are non existent, gesture controlled or otherwise.
Also, reading the body of that request, there’s no further mentioning of brightness anywhere. So I don’t really thing that covers what I actually want.
