Please bring brightness and volume gesture slider

Just like in VLC and Netflix, swiping up on the right side of the screen will increase the volume and swiping up on the left side of the screen will increase the brightness.

Reason on why this is a necessity:

Just imagine this, it it even ideal to turn the brightness to max for the movie and then exiting the player, to be blinded by the bright screen? In the movie, it’s not so bright because there are dark moments and the color grading is dull as such for most movies.

And to increase the brightness now I have to scroll through all the notifications now to increase/decrease the brightness. It’s an awful experience.

Volume gesture slider is necessary with volume boost. Pixel phones and certain Android brand mobiles do not support Dolby Atmos. Most Premium Video on Demand (Downloaded Content) is with Dolby Atmos and there is no good separtion and volume is low on these phones.

This was compensated by using external video players like VLC which had volume boost on the old Plex and now that has been removed.

I paid for Plex knowing I can use the external plaster on Android mobile and the Plex app on the TV. Now with the removal of external player for Android, it is such a disappointment with gesture controls with player and also volume boost.

@OttoKerner This is relating to the new Plex experience app on mobile, why is this being changed?

Because it is already in the regular release cycle for iOS and Android mobile.

Yes these are very basic features which are missing in plex mobile app.

@BigWheel Do you realise this is a basic feature and why is no Plex employee acknowledging this?

We don’t comment on feature requests unless we have some sort of question = for clarification about what it is asking for. One person’s “basic feature” is one another’s “never has any intention of using”. I’m sorry I don’t make promises.
