I had previously been using NextPVR on a different machine to handle my DVR, and dumping the recordings onto my Ubuntu 20.04 Plex Server at /mnt/Drive/TVDVR. /mnt/Drive is mounted via FSTAB.
I switched over to using the Plex DVR (its great!), but I don’t understand the permission issue that I’m having when trying to manual delete any shows that Plex has recorded. I was against having “Enable Delete” set on Plex, but I have no problem deleting recordings through the UI.
I’ve tried all of the tutorials that I could dig up, but I am unable to get new recordings to inherit the permissions (even tried 777).
I am part of the plex group, along with the plex user. I also tried created a DVR group, which plex and I are both members of.
“find /mnt/Drive/TVDVR -type d -exec chmod 775 {} ;” (and -type f) did not work as expected.
Just trying to avoid having to chmod in order to delete recordings manually. I really just want to disable delete through the UI if I can.
