Just a quick update, turns out that I wasn’t getting the paid channels I was still on demo, I contacted hdhomerun support and the told me I had to link my account to the device. Once I did that, I started receiving the actual channels (no demo). Went back to plex, I had to remove the DVR and add it again, then it picked up all the new channels.
Ok, I will say it… Basically, This is all be design then… They made it NOT WORK unless you PAY for it.

After further review, they only stream 2 minutes of viewing on these channels w/o a subscription… so it is not worth investigating further. Thanks anyway
just added hdhomerun premium to my plex after support from silicon dust. my vpn needed to be disabled and hdhomerun doesn’t like microsoft edge. my channels finally showed in plex after removing and reinstalling the dvr. my issue now is like many, epg that integrated ota with ‘cable’.
