Manually Schedule a recording

Is there a way to manually schedule a recording? There are several programs coming on soon that I want to record, but for some reason, the EPG does not seem to be aware of them (would be nice if there was a grid so I could at least record what it thinks is going to be on). For instance, I know that Big Brother is coming on tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday. The next available airing I see is next Wednesday. Also Brookly Nine-Nine and Last Man Standing premiers are coming up, soon, but the EPG does not seem to be aware of them. I know when these are coming on and on what channel, but I have no way of forcing a recording.

This is not possible at the moment. If you could provide a bit more information about your location, the channel, and the missing shows, that would be great.

Located in the Dallas Texas Area on Frontier (formerly Verizon) FioS. As of right now the shows that I know are missing are as follows:
Mr. Robot and Suits on USA channel 550 (what is strange about this one is that it seems to be able to find replays of the episodes, but not the premier itself that is supposed to come on tonight)

Big Bang Theory and Big Brother on CBS channel 511 (again for big brother it is able to find the episode next week, just not tonight).

Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Fox channel 504

Is there any way I can manually edit the EPG data to add the show at the proper time or at least see what it thinks will be coming on in that timeslot so I can record what it thinks is there?

I don’t believe you can manually edit the EPG data, and unfortunately I’m not particularly knowledgeable about how the US side of it works (being in Australia myself). Have you done a manual EPG refresh to see if the episodes appear?

I had done a refresh previously, and they did not show up. However, I checked it this morning and it seems most of them are showing up now (I have not done an EPG refresh since the last one a few days ago). It must have picked them up somehow.

Your PMS update the EPG data every night or on a server restart if it’s been more than 18 hours since the last EPG update.

+1: I live in Québec and there are 2 channels that don’t post EPGs, so I’d like to be able to manually pick a channel + set start/end recording date + times.

Thanks for the awesome work btw!

are you planning on adding this ability soon? Windows Media Center used to have this feature and I miss not having it available anymore.

Plex typically doesn’t post about upcoming features / roadmaps so you may not get an answer to this one…
