Mark as played/umplayed not working

Let me start ny saying, I REALLY don’t want to start over, fresh install and re-enter metadata on 2500 movies!
The big issues are (the first two seem related to each other):

  1. If I watch a movie too the LAST frame, it still shows that I have about 10% left to watch and appears in my continue watching cue. (To remove it from the cue, I have to go to my laptop and select “remove from continue watching.” Doing that on the shield does nothing.

  2. Mark as played has no effect on either the shield or the laptop

  3. On the shield: About half the time, when I click on a movie to watch, I get a “retry screen” That does nothing. BUT if I go back on screen and try again, it’s fine.

I was HOPING a server update might fix these things, but this morning’s update didn’t.

I have verbose logging off, but I can turn it on and forward a log, if someone tells me how to do that. (And talk to me like you are talking to a slightly drunk poodle. I am NOT techno savvy!!!)
