Marking music or audio tracks as listened to

I’m currently making up a collection of audio tracks. I’ve categorised by Music / Artist / Album / Title as per the convention and all shows up as expected in the interface of whatever device I’m listening to the track on. The audio tracks are radio recordings and podcasts in MP3 format, and I’d like to be able to have some clue as to what I’ve listened to or what I haven’t yet listened to. Exactly like TV and Movies do with marking content as “Watched”.

I know that the original idea with music libraries having a listened to facility might have not been a requirement, but in the days of podcasts is this now a feature, or is there some way of achieving a “Mark as listened to” status?

If we are talking podcasts and not music, you could re-purpose the ‘rating’ feature for this.
Keep un-listened content unrated and upon completion give it a rating of e.g. 3 stars or so.

The feature to extend the watched/unwatched feature to podcasts and audio books has already been requested.
Head over there an ‘Like’ the first post of that thread: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/242069/audio-listened-to-tracking#top
