Plex Media Server Logs_2020-01-24_03-01-24.zip (1.5 MB)
Hi all. I’ve been running Plex on UNRaid using their own Plex docker for a good while now with no issues. I moved to the official plex docker, as per UNRaid recommendations and had no problems. For a month or so, though, I’ve had an increasing amount of issues;
- General “sluggishness” on UI, interface becoming unresponsive - sometimes server seemingly “disappearing” altogether.
- Problems matching files. Endlessly grabbing metadata and not getting anywhere. Looking up matches taking ages. Incredibly slow. (Easily two-tree minutes to match a single file…)
- Issues launching media, prompting a restart to make it responsive again.
- Clients sometimes dropping off when skipping through videos all of a sudden, when it hasn’t been an issue previously.
- Clients having to wait for 30-40 seconds upon launching plex before anything is displayed. It’s kind of similar to the web-interface experience where it’ll think that Plex is offline for a good while.
Then today I got an error message from the app that butler had failed to do a DB backup due to corruption.
I went to my DB backup directory with the server stopped, renamed the database files (blob and library) and grabbed ones from the 15th to go back a fair bit. Attempting to start the server would just spam “Starting Plex Media Server” in the log. Permissions were the same, nothing in that.
Ended up having to revert to the “broken” database to get it functioning again.
Database itself is over 60 megs so I won’t attach that, for now, unless someone wants it - but logs are attached.
It’s 3AM and I am at the end of the rope, hopefully a kind wizard in another time-zone will have an answer.
I’d really hate to start over… AGAIN. What would really suck is remaking my playlists - and keeping track of what’s been “watched”.
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance in this…
