Master Library

My friends and I each share our own Plex libraries. Some of us have identical content. Instead of searching each server individually, There should be an option to create a master library that contains a listing of all the shared content from all servers. For identical content that you have, local with be prioritized, For identical content on remote servers, quality can be the priority.

Thanks for your suggestion. There’s already an existing thread discussing an option to have a consolidated view across multiple libraries… be that libraries on your own server or shared ones. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.

Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Consolidated view of multiple Servers / Libraries

I’ve seen a few requests for this going back to 2013 so I thought I would bring this back and combine a few different idea into one. Merge Libraries - the ability to view multiple libraries as a single view. All animated films in one library, all documentary films in another, etc. Then a combined library that shows the content of all. The problem with just creating a new library that aims at ALl the media directories is you may have spent a lot of time cleaning up movie posters, names, etc. Me…
