Matches not being made

I noticed “emma.” has a period in the title.
What has been happening for at least two months is that any “:” are removed from the titles when it does the search. This breaks the search.

With MATCH “Transformers : War for Cybertron” is searched as “transformers war for cybertron” and fails to produce any results. No poster, no metadata. If I bring up MATCH and put the colon back where it belongs, it finds the movie.

So I have found that punctuation in a film’s title may be stripped before searching and this breaks the search.

I did get EMMA to match after putting the “.” on the end. I believe my system tries to match Plex movies before The Movie Database. Though it look by the settings it should be The Movie Database first, but if you press “Search” it defaults to the Plex movie database.

If I may add here, although not sure how much I’m contributing,

  1. Using 1.20.0 – with the new movie agent
  2. Names
    a. Emma (2020).mkv
    b. Emma. (2020).mkv
  3. Were matched by PMS in a matter of seconds.
  4. The official name is Emma. (2020) Emma. (2020) - IMDb
  5. FileBot also confirmed the formal name.

Yeah, matched for me as soon as I put “.” after it like imdb has it.

The searches are defaulting to Plex Movie, not Movie Database still. All setting look ok.
