Plex Movie agent is used.
I just noticed this when Plex was failing to match The Hunger Games from 2012.
File name: /data/movies/The.Hunger.Games.2012/The.Hunger.Games.2012.Remux-2160p.mkv
The movie needs to be matched manually, when searching for “hunger games” without a year this is the result:

Any ideas? Am I the only one with this issue?
Same here. I tried adding some movies to Plex last night and it wasn’t working and so I tried again this morning and still no luck. Some movies seem to match fine, others are not matching at all and then when you go to manually match them it comes back with a blank title.
Titles that matched fine:
The Room (2019)
6 Underground (2019)
Titles that failed:
The Daytrippers (1996)
The Little Drummer Boy Book II (1976)
…and some other older movies
Not sure if it is a pattern, but it seems like newer/recently released movies were matching but not older titles. Possible the newer movies are popular and cached on Plex’s servers already but the older ones it has to pull from IMDB and failing maybe? Just an idea anyway, not sure if there is actual rhyme or reason.

There is something going on with upstream APIs cause Radarr is experiencing same issues with metadata.
@spuniun I had that issue with Radarr as well but not sure if it is the same thing? Radarr uses TheMovieDB while Plex uses IMDB, if I remember correctly?

Seems like they are saying it was a TMDB issue, but is working now. Can confirm the Radarr issue is fixed for me (I was able to refresh my Radarr movies and get titles again), but Plex is still having the bug from this thread.
Seems resolved now whomever was the culprit upstream
Alas still seeing the issue myself – hopefully will be a temporary problem which will resolve quickly overtime!
Yep just tried to load a few again and still having the issues as well.
Btw just to add, I believe I’m running latest Plex Pass version 1.18.3.2156.
Also doing the Plex Dance too before trying to re-add them (remove files from directory, scan, empty trash, clean bundles), but still end up with the same thing.

didn’t see this as a plex problem which is why I didn’t attach logs, clearly a TMDB api issue - anyhow, appears to be resolved for me now so all is well again
Just tried to add a few xmas movies and still not working for me. Attaching logs for @ChuckPa and other devs. Turned on debug logging before scanning.

Stupid question time: Which UID/GID owns the directories where the docker /config is mapped to? I’m thinking ownership has changed and is in need of a sudo chown -R ....... pass.
You can easily see for yourself by naming a video file as a non-working title, for example Singin’ in the Rain (1952).mp4 and trying to match.
@ChuckPa Turned on debugging and did it again, just to see.
After scanning you can see the three latest movies are unmatched.
And then if I try to do a manual match I just get a couple blank titles in return, though I do see one at least saying it has a score of 100 on that one.

I also see there is already a new update to 1.18.4.2164-2aa83397b available. Know if anything is addressed there? I’ll try to update my docker container and see if either the update or just restarting Plex helps at all. I can also try chmod/chown my files again just to be sure if you think that could be an issue, though nothing should have changed AFAIK.
How about trying my agent configuration?
After changing, restart PMS then “Refresh All Metadata” to make it run through again.
