Hello Everyone,
Yesterday i have patched my Ubunto (18.04) to latest version,
Hard to say if it happen immediately after, But since that any Match (Manual or Scan)
result on No Match Found.

Went over all the pages here, Did everything recommended (Deleting Cache, Cleaning DNS, Reinstalling Plex, Plex Agent/IMDB/TMDB), Nada… Still it insist (New and Old Movies that i have added).

Attaching agent logs…
com.plexapp.agents.imdb.log.7z (3.7 KB)

any ideas?

May I have the full logs ZIP please?

The agent log alone is not enough. The agent log must be viewed and compared against the other agent logs concurrently.

Sure, Sorry!
attached clean logs of problem reproduction

I have the same problem for multiple movies. Even an attempted manual match where I use the explicit MDB identifier token on The Movie Database Agent results in no match. This all worked fine last week.

If you will all please follow the normal steps of diagnosis as we’re doing with the OP, I’ll be glad and able to help. Unfortunately “me too” isn’t enough to work with.

I need to see what the agents are doing. You’ve only given me a few of the files. I do need to see all of them.

Also, Please recreate the conditions by scanning files again / Refresh all metadata for one of the libraries. I want you to make it fail in the way you’re seeing. Then capture the logs so I can see it too.

Prior to gathering the logs, i have stopped Plex, Cleaned the Logs directory,
Started and reproduced, Those are all the logs provided by Plex when using “download logs”
Verbose Logging is disabled, Should i Enable it ?

Without Verbose logs: 19:43:35 UTC, Clicking on the 3 Dots of a Movie, Selecting Match
Ends with “No Match Found”
19:44:53 UTC, Via the 3 Dots of the same Movie, Clicking on Refresh Metadata - Nada
19:46:14 UTC. Refresh All Metadata for the “Movies” Category was done, All new movies were not recognized.

Let me know if anything else needed, I can provide remote access for further troubleshooting if needed (if it will help you troubleshooting the issue for all of us)

I am also having this exact issue. I cannot get all my logs right now but I have just completely reinstalled my whole plex and a brand new blank Ubuntu headless VM. I was on v16 before and now on v18. I am also having this issue on 2527 and on 2572.

Please never enable VERBOSE unless we specifically ask for it.
VERBOSE captures only 2 minutes of elapsed time.
It captures every single mouse click and packet exchange.
Frankly, It’s painful to look through even when we know what we’re looking for.

Thank you for providing the rollover logs with the mains. This is what I need because the logs roll over frequently. What we are looking for is often not in the ‘current’ log.

Which agent is the primary (in the Advanced settings) for the library section you scanned?

I am seeing IMDB called out but crossing over to TMDB (which is failing).

Also, in your Setings -Server - Agents, what is the stacking order please (Top-Bottom)?

Here they are.

Plex Media Server Logs_2020-03-25_16-16-30.zip (7.1 MB)

Scanner being used is Plex Movie Scanner
Agent is Plex Movie.

On Stacking Order (For Movies):
Personal Media: Only Personal Media Is Selected and First
Plex Movie: Only Plex Movie is selected and First
The Movie Database: The Movie Database is Selected First, Then Plex Media.

Thanks,
Eran.

Just wanted to chime in that I’m having this issue too. I’ve been troubleshooting it the last four hours.

I can add my logs if additionally desired, but I have no interest in de-railing OP, who’s provided his first.

One thing to note in my instance: In part of my troubleshooting effort, I’ve restored a backup from this morning (prior to the issue being noticed) as well as three days ago - and the issue persists.

In fact, movies that I successfully scraped over the last two days are now failing to scrape - remember, this is a restored backup so there are zero differences on the server itself between then and now.

Based on my own analysis of the logs, the plex TMDB proxy seems to be getting 404s when it shouldn’t. It almost seems like the API key being used by plex has been invalidated or expired, because I can hit the same TMDB api endpoints with my private API key and I don’t have any issue getting a proper response.

I can’t help those who “chime in” and don’t provide logs.

Come on folks? Please?

“Me too” does nothing to resolve any issues.

The more who contribute help me to compare and find the root cause

OP already provided his logs and I didn’t see any analysis of them yet. But, if you insist…

Also, for what it’s worth -

“Me too” is what helped me find this thread and realize this may not be an issue exclusive to my machine or my network.

If nobody else had chimed in saying that they were having this same issue at the same time with similar symptoms, I’d be more inclined to assume the issue was exclusively on my end.

I did analyse the logs. I have followup questions for the OP.

I am sorry if my directness, because I’m helping so many people right now while being sick myself, is perceived as rude and dismissive.

If a rude and dismissive reply from me is desired, I can provide one

(now that was rude, dismissive, and sarcastic all rolled in one. )

Please, work with me? I am working my ASS off trying to help folks.

I get an email notification of every post made in the Linux section.
I do my best to prioritize and cluster them together so I can apply solutions I find in one to the others.

Hello,

I’m facing the same issue as well. OS is Windows 10 however.

Attached are logs.

Primary agent for Movies is “Plex Movies”.

The exact order for each field is as follows:
Movies > Personal Media
Personal Media
Local Media Assets (Movies)

Movies > Plex Movie
Plex Movie
Local Media Assets (Movies)

Movies > The Movie Database
Plex Movie
The Movie Database
Local Media Assets (Movies)

Hope this helps!

@phil0115

I’m not understanding how you mean those.
Would you mind taking a moment and grabbing a few screenshots?
(It’s been a LONG day here)

Can you point me in a direction regarding what’s not being found? Movies?

Fetching metadata for movies does not yield any results, TV and Music work fine however.

Screenshots attached.
