I'm trying to update from 0.2.1 to 0.3.1 and it downloads without any problems, then asks me to restart to complete, but then I get an MD5 check error and restarts back at 0.2.1 after 30 seconds.
Any ideas?
Have you tried to update again? Maybe the download or the extraction failed. You may consider a manual update too (https://github.com/RasPlex/RasPlex/wiki/Update)

i gave up on updating. the gui uploader because it could never load the files. and I received only checksum errors when I copied the files to /update.
a fresh install was the only way i made it to 0,3.1 …

Appears 3rd time lucky. As I just tried again after looking to manually looking to update straight onto the SD and it installed no problems through the updater.
So not sure what happened the first two times, but we got there in the end, which allowed me to continue watching Breaking Bad :)
