Media folder with folders that end with .bundles, what is it?

i had around 300k of folders/files (its my bad probably since i moved servers few times due to crashes) but i cant figure out the point of them, i can see “chapter images” in some of them, i dont know what is their purpose since i dont have thumbnails enabled, i nuked every sub folder inside the “0,1,2…etc” folders

what are their purpose and did i f up by nuking it all?

These are some of the metadata which Plex is collectiing about your media files.

Yes. If you have uploaded posters or subtitles manually for any of your media, these uploads are very likely gone now.
See if you can repair some of the damage by Refresh Metadata on all your libraries.

and just like that you made me realize the culprit, Kometa overlays

subs are of no issue since bazarr, i minimally uploaded posters for couple of shows…time to stop kometa overlays

thanks mate

so yea all the posters that kometa touched is gone, which is basically my entire plex, i did the refresh metadata but it doesnt seem any poster is getting picked from plex settings, anyway to force it to pick any?

If I may add here?

If you’re going to / need to rebuild all your posters, you can put your posters with your media so they will never again be lost.

The support article is here:

https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220677-local-media-assets-movies/

Example:

/Movies
   /Batman Begins (2005)
      Batman Begins (2005).mkv
      poster.jpg

You only need to enable the ‘Local Media Assets’ agent for it to use them.
