Not getting folder thumbnails

I recently moved my entire movie library to my Plex server. Previously I had been using Plex strictly for music and was using miniDlna for movies. My large movie library was organized to optimize convenience using Roku Media Player, folder structure is as follows: Movies>Western>True Grit>True Grit.mkv and folder.jpg for the poster art.

The poster art didn’t work consistently in RMP so I decided to move my library to Plex. However, absolutely no poster art works on any folder in Plex. Wondering what I’m missing. If I navigate into the folder, the mkv file itself displays a generated thumbnail but I’d like to see the poster art (folder.jpg) that I painstakingly included in every folder on the folder which contains the movie. Any help would be appreciated.

Regarding those bogus embedded Title Fields in your MP4/M4V files:

With LMA in priority, Embedded Titles within MP4/M4V files are preferred - even over a perfect file name. Local Media Assets should - AT ALL TIMES - remain enabled (unless specifically instructed to turn it off).
