Media server stuck on "Starting"?

Thank you for the update!

You did see that that "update" was from over 4 years ago right? :)

Haha! No, just joined. Thought this was a current issue since the topic was at the top of the forum.

Some people still experience the issue were PMS gets stuck at start-up on the Mac. It is much rarer nowadays, but some situations still cause this.

0.9.10.1 has serious issues.  For exemple, when you're searching for a specific passage, it does not go there.  Either it starts from the beginning of the movie, or it goes to the wrong passage.  usually way back !!

I'm on a Mac with 10.9.5, and I'm using my PS3 to watch the movies on my TV.  I reverted back to 0.9.9.16 which does not seem to have that annoying issue.

Could you fix that please?

Hi.

You are in the wrong topic for your problem. This is a topic for the Plex Media Server getting stuck on starting

Suggest you flag this issue in the PlexPASS Plex Media Server Preview Releases forum if you do not find a topic already covering the issue

Thank you.  It is done.

This is definitely not the correct thread for your issue.

Hello,

I have followed the instruction here. It wont work for me unfortunately.

It only works when I uninstall fully the software and reset the Mac, and install the app again. Then it will be loaded perfectly but when I just quite from software, it wont show up again !!!!

I dont know what else to do!!!

I have a  Mac running : OS x (10.9.5 Mavericks), CPU (core i5 , 2.6) , RAM (8 GB)

Thanks

Just upgraded to Yosemite on a mac as well as updated to PMS 0.9.11.1.678 and it is definitely stuck on starting.  I followed the instructions at the start of this forum and it is still stuck on starting.  Anyone else have this issue?

Had been using in Yosemite 10.10 beta's without issue, but after the 9.11.1 678 update it would get stuck on starting. Had to downgrade to my previous version 9.9.14 (not a Plex Pass Member) to get it to work again. All is good now!

I am away from my home (and my server) until Sunday, I downloaded the latest version and am having the same issues. I have quit Plex and deleted Framework.bundle and System.bundle but this has not resolved. Will there be an update version of Plex that resolves these issues and should I put these files back where they were? Alternatively, can I reinstall the previous version?

Can you edit/update the first posting in this thread so it is easy for everyone to find?

Thanks

Hi,

Same for me on OS x (10.9.5 Mavericks), after yesterday update, Plex Server stuck on "starting".

Deleting "Framework.bundle" does not solve the problem as previous case in 2010.

I upgraded to Yosemite recently and download the latest version of PMS. Already deleted the bundles on the start of the thread, but it is still stuck on Starting... anything else can I do?

I have the exact same issue. and i can't get in on my xbox one because my server won't start. HELP!

Having exactly the same problem. Just upgraded to Yosemite and server is stuck on starting.

Tried removing the bundles as per instructions on first page but to no avail !!

Please Plex gurus .... Help !!
