Media Server unclaimed and not secure

On a MacBook Pro run macOS Catalina (10.15.4) the Plex Media Server says:
This server is unclaimed and not secure
(on both Safari and Chrome)
On Safari hitting the Claim Server button appears to do nothing.
On Chrome the button shows a cycling loop but then appears to do nothing.
On both browsers they also say Something went wrong. Please install manually. – which I have already done.

I have checked Security and Privacy settings and Plex Media Server has access to Files and Folders (Network Volumes). Is there some other setting that I am missing?

I would be trying from Browser rather than Menu Icon.

Yep, I tried that, but no luck.

Just changed default browser from Safari to Chrome and it seemed to resolve the problem. The server is now claimed… but what is the issue with Safari?
