Server has not been claimed

don’t know what kind of updates they are making to the plex media server, I have a subscription and this is the second time in less than a year that I have lost access to plex after a update, suddenly I am informed that the server has not been claimed. solve this please… can anyone help?

All an unclaimed server means is that the server got logged out. if you visit http://[Local Plex Media Server IP Address]:32400/web it should allow you to log back into the server and claim it without issue.

In September or October I had the same error, I couldn’t solve it and gave up, after some time I opened the media server app and the button to claim the server simply appeared, and everything started working.
But thanks anyway

If you read that linked article it will tell you where the com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.plist file is you need to edit to allow you to claim your server again.
