I’d like to be able to merge some of my movie or serie libraries (that I did before the user accounts implementation, like one for adults and one for kids) into one without to have to re-scrap all my movies.
Why?
Because now with the accounts implementation, I can have one movie or serie library, and restrict some of the content based on age or genre, user accounts, etc. No need to create different libraries anymore !
The issue is that today if I add the paths of the 2nd library to the first library, Plex is scraping again all my movies or episodes like if they were new. I would lose all the modifications I did (like posters or genre, etc.)
This feature should be “very quick” to code as it would be a simple change of library ID in the Plex database for all movies of library 2 with the ID of library 1 (plus the movie paths to be transferred).
Today, I have:
- Adults movies
- Kids Movies
- Adults series
- Kids series
- Recorded TV shows
Where I would like to have only:
- Movies
- Series
Without to rescrap and index everything again (1000+ movies…)
