I’m not sure why this was overlooked when the combination row was added back for Recently Added within the same library type, but it’d be super helpful if the same was done for Recently Released items.
I’d like to be able to display a row of all the TV shows that have recently aired across all my TV library sections. Would really help with clutter. I would suspect some people would want the same for movies spread across multiple library sections.

Absolutely none of that is relevant to the feature request.
I’m asking for a row on the homescreen that will combine Recently Released episodes across DIFFERENT library sections (ie. if you have multiple TV libraries instead of multiple Recently Released rows, they’d be combined into one). The exact same thing was done for the Recently Added row I few weeks ago, I’m just asking for the same for Recently Released.
I’m aware of smart collections and what they offer (check the Plex subreddit for many more tips on how to use them effectively). Unfortunately they can’t be used for this because they can’t cross library sections.
I also don’t know why you’re telling me about the new Home Screen management area, seeing as that is the area the combined Recently Added row toggle is located. You again can’t do anything close to what I’m asking on that screen. You will get a Recently Released row for every library section, not one combined row.

I did a search for this and couldn’t even find it. I only found it after being told that my post was a duplicate. Perhaps the title for this should simply just be “Merge Recently Released”.
I for the life of me can’t understand why they didn’t just add this option as well, when they included the merge recently added option.
They’re more concerned with keeping the forums neat & tidy than they are with improving the app. They don’t even care about these feature requests… they might fix it in a decade.
Here I am just finding this in 2025. I just “discovered” the Merge Recently Added functionality and immediately realized how useful this would be for Recently Released. Currently I have three libraries of movies, one for kids, one for 4K, and one for everything else. When I turn on the option to show recently released on the Home Screen I get a bit of a confusing situation.
I see Recently Released Movies but it doesn’t specify library like Recently Added does. What I would really love is to be able to turn on both Merge Recently added and Merge Recently Released. It would really clean up the Home Screen!
