It would be cool to have an option directly on plex to be able to merge 2 libraries from 2 different servers (if you are the owner of the 2 servers of course)
Example :
I have 2 servers, with 2 TV series libraries (because one of my server is full of space), and I would like to be able to merge them to have only 1 TV serie librarie on my plex dashboard.
To avoid to mount the disk from the server A on the serveur B.
I don’t think it’s a really complicated feature tbh.
If you want a unified library, just don’t use 2 separate Plex servers.
Instead, use the second machine as a file server and mount those shares on your first and only Plex server machine.
Simply mounting the storage of server B on the machine hosting server A should be even less complicated. As Otto stated there should be no need to run 2 servers in that use case…
All that being said, it appears ~100 other users seem to have a similar use case. I suggest you comment/vote in that existing suggestion in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
