My metadata folder has went from under 20GB to 150GB in less then a week. The size had been stable for a long time before that, with slight growth from added media for over a year now. A few days before this massive size change I had switched my agent to “Plex TV Series” (plex’s new agent).
Now from what I recall, I had first clicked “Upgrade Matching” but since that didn’t change the actual agent, I went and changed that also.
There doesn’t seem to be much in the logs except there are a ton of errors like this when any metadata refresh/scanning is happening

The size of movie metadata hasn’t seen a dramatic increase like this but I can’t recall the exact size before and after the switch and I have not done a full metadata refresh on that library.
I suspect it’s not the fault of the new agent, as I was told be a plex employee on discord, the new agent should actually take up less space. It seems like somehow I have duplicate metadata that isn’t getting deleted but that’s just a guess.
I’ve run clean bundles and optimize database, and I do not have thumbnail previews on (now or ever) and I have not added a large amount of media recently or done any other changes aside from changing the agent.
Would really appreciate some help with this as the metadata data folder increases during a metadata refresh and only clean bundles brings it back down to around 150GB. It has already got out of control and used up to around 250GB and filled the drive it was on and caused a crash. Cleaning bundles helped reduce it but its still far off the less than 20GB I was at less then a week ago.
