The meta data folder has become 11Gb for me:
Albums - 5Gb
Artists - 1Gb
Movies - .5 Gb
Tv Shows - .3Gb
I do have half of TB of songs in a library. Is that still an expected size?

11 GB is nothing for Plex meta data.
So yes, it is kinda expected.
Particularly immediately after adding the music, the server will perform loudness analysis and sonic similarity detection. Which are both done on decoded WAV format versions of your music. These temporary WAV files are taking up considerable space until the analysis is finished.
