I don’t care who you are, Plex metadata falls flat on its face. You’re better off carving into stone your metadata and referring back to the tablets whenever you want to watch any episode of anything.
Plex, for the stupidest f’ing reason, thinks that EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of any show I download, is f’ing Angry Birds. Yeah, I’m an Angry Bird alright!
This is beyond absurd, it’s absolutely unfixable, and Plex employees should be ashamed to release their product in this state.
I can see you’re angry… with that in mind you might want to consider that this issue might be self-inflicted based on how you’re organizing your media (folder structures, file naming, which folders are linked to the Plex library). No offense but if it wasn’t working at all (unfixable, never worked) we’ll probably end up with quite a different size of shitstorm.
Given you haven’t shared a specific example, I can only point you to the generic support article on how to do it right. Based on the little information we’ve got I suspect you’re either pointing your library to individual show folders (instead of the library folder above) or have added different folder levels between the library folder and your show folders. https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/
My folder structure is not the issue, it is laid out EXACTLY the same way it was before all these updates to Plex destroyed my libraries. This is clearly a development issue, and not a user issue.
