Seems as though Plex is pulling data in extremely slowly, im talking sometimes 4 weeks after the data has been added to thetvdb/tmdb. Sonarr, which also uses thetvdb is only taking 3-6hrs to update the same metadata.
Why is Plex taking so long to update the meta for shows?
I’ve been seeing the same issues with the Plex Movie Agent taking weeks to update for changes to TMDB. It definitely isn’t a TMDB API issue because other stuff that uses the API reflects the changes within a day. I haven’t noticed it with TVDB, but I mostly using TMDB.
The delay seems to have started in the last month or so, prior to that we were seeing the usual 2-3 day delay, but now it is 2-3 weeks if we are lucky. This really isn’t feasible if you are trying to add and watch stuff as it releases.
