After a recent Windows 10 update and ensuing restart (this action may be coincidental, but it has been happening since then), my Plex instance has stopped being able to update metadata / thumbnails for any media I add to my library.
The config has been working perfectly for over a year, with the new files in the same location and format as always, but no metadata is getting written for any media added for the last few days. No manual forcing of scanning library files, bundle cleaning or database optimisation makes a difference.
Same here After upgrading to Version 1.18.9.2571. Any new movie I add does not pick up metadata. If I manually give the imbd tt## code it picks it up d/l movie info but doesn’t d/l the Movie poster. I have to also add that manually… I figure it was just me… Guess not. (Running on Windows 10)
For no apparent reason, this has started working again for me. No update, no restart, no change to the config, but new additions are working fine, and when I refreshed on the old ones, that worked again too.
For posterity, I had the same circumstances as propaine455 where this was only applying for movies and not TV entries.
