+1 for OneDrive. Also liked original post! Cmon Plex, make this happen. I’m pretty sure this will make a lot of your users very happy.
+1 OneDrive
+1 i hope this gets added. it’s currently costing approx 20 a month to run my server at the house. Can’t wait to get this thing down to a small beaglebone or rpi board and make that my server
+1 here too.

Great news here!!!

It’s been a while since you’ve seen any updates to Plex Cloud. You’re probably wondering, “What’s going on with Plex Cloud?” It’s perfectly understandable considering some users have been waiting a long time in the hopes of receiving an invite. While we have been happy to see so much excitement in our community forums and across social media, the overwhelming number of invite requests made it difficult to get everyone into the beta as quickly as we would have liked. Well, we are happy to say that we’ve got some updates to share with you today!
First, we expect to begin ramping up invites starting December 5th! While we can’t promise when exactly you may receive an invitation, know that we are eager to share Plex Cloud with many more people as soon as possible. We can assure you that we will not rest until every one of you is up and Plexing in the Cloud!
Second, Starting today, we’re announcing new support for Google Drive, Dropbox, and Microsoft OneDrive! All three of these Cloud storage providers will be available to anyone whose account is chosen to participate in the beta. "
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that announcement is for Plex Cloud. Cloud Sync is different and OneDrive is still not available as a Cloud Sync Provider.
Ops, these are, really, different features… Nevertheless, great news. Both of them are important improvements, IMO!
+1 OneDrive
Could someone please explain the difference between Plex Cloud and Cloud Sync?
I bought a Plex Pass and signed up to Amazon Drive in order to have a Plex Server in the Cloud. It’s now been announced that Amazon Drive is no longer going to be supported as off the end of December. So am I using Plex Cloud or Cloud Sync? When I select the drop-down list to see all my active servers, I see Cloud Sync. So after the end of December, will this still work if Plex Cloud and Cloud Sync are different features?
I have a Microsoft OneDrive account with 1TB of storage. So how can I use it if it’s only compatible with Plex Cloud and not Cloud Sync?
Any explanation would be appreciated. Thanks.
I was told that Amazon Drive was not going to be used in the Beta test. Does that mean I will not be invited to the Beta test since I only answered questions that pertain to Amazon. I now have OneDrive and would like to beta it.
+1 - me too
+1 here as well. We need OneDrive!
+1 for OneDrive (Cloud Sync AND Plex Cloud).
Really like to see Amazon come back to be supported. Unlimited space is always better than 1TB any day!
Seems like they have decided to let cloud sync die, would love onedrive support for cloud sync to compliment plex cloud. I can’t get remote access to work even to someone in town with my same ISP, my upload rate isn’t good enough I guess, would be great to be able to configure cloud sync to upload optimized videos to my onedrive that my plex cloud is tied to rather than having to upload full size ones that take forever to upload
A sync client to store in cheap Microsoft Azure standard blob storage would be a nice bonus to OneDrive as well, but yes… OneDrive is a must. Should be a given being if you purchase a device with client 8x to 10 installed, it already has OneDrive installed and even for the non-ms or non-tech crowd, many of those users already have OneDrive as an enabled logged-in option by creating their account, and don’t even know they have it thus setup would be minimal even for those folks.
+1 I have 1TB space available in my OneDrive.
+1 here as well
Yes please.
+1 please. Gotta use that 1TB for something
