Microsoft Store not selected but movies show up in (filtered) watchlist anyway

I use Plex on my Apple TV and iPad (but mainly Apple TV) and I add all kind of movies to my watchlist, hoping they will come to one of my services in the future.
In the watchlist I set the filters to only show ‘Available streams’ and Microsoft Store is not selected in “my” streams, but still those movies are shown in the watchlist.

Does this mean that the filter is not working or shouldn’t I have added those movies at all?

Anyone else having this problem and knows how to solve this?
Or is it indeed the filters not working correct here?

the filter is working correct as it is available to stream, the filter is not based on selected services only. Though I will pass that along to team

I hear what you say, but doesn’t “available to stream” mean that I should be able to stream it?
This is not the case with Microsoft Store movies.
I can not watch them (free or payed), so why are they shown?

By the way, I don’t want to sound negative (because I really love this app) but the above is bugging me for months now. The first 20 or so items on my watchlist are all MS Store movies and series which I can not watch. That’s why I reached out :+1:

if it is available to stream anywhere it will be “available to stream” in the main list. it does not check your selected services until the details page for the item loads. Some folks might want to know where something is streaming even if they don’t currently have a service as they might decide to get it.

Okay, I was under the impression that if I added a movie or series to my watchlist that’s currently not being streamed on any of the services that I’m subscribed to, that it would start to be visible through the “Available to stream” filter once any of my own services would stream it (I have to read this sentence again (English is not my native language. I hope you understand what I mean haha).

So what would be your advice?
Not adding these Microsoft Store movies to my watchlist at all?
So I should keep a external list of them and check from time to time if they are available on any of my services?
Wouldn’t this be a great feature for the Plex app?
Maybe the team could add these two settings to the filter menu?

  • Don’t show items that are not available on my own streaming services
  • Don’t show items that are only available for buying or renting.

I understood when you asked in first post. My last post was just explaining why the “available to stream” does what it does.

Like I said I would pass it. I can’t make any promises about it.
