Watchlist "Available on your services" filter not showing streaming services that have the movie

Hello!

I’ve recently been having an issue where I have movies added to my watchlist that I know are streaming on specific services (namely Peacock, Kanopy, Hoopla, Tubi, etc), but the movies don’t show up under the “Available on your services” filter. They do show up under the “Available to Stream” filter, and when I click the movie, under “Watch from these locations” the specific streaming services are listed there.

I’ve gone through my list of streaming services in settings and unselected/selected the services, but this made no difference.

Any ideas?

I noticed this myself in the last few weeks.

Not sure whether it’s related to the long-existing “false positives/negatives” problem (where certain shows/films are incorrectly listed or not listed as being available on a given service, but “correctly” included in the “Available on Your Services” filter based on this incorrect info), or it’s a separate, new issue. Whatever the case, I do hope it’ll be resolved in the near future; I really don’t want to move my entire 500ish-item master watchlist to one of the other “where to watch” services, but I absolutely will if this feature remains broken. I’m definitely not going to manually go through all those titles every couple weeks (or whatever) to check availability.

Yes, I see a number of movies in my watch list that don’t show up in the “available on your services” filter, but if you click on them they show Amazon, or Hulu, or whatever. And they definitely are available there. I’m not sure why this is because Plex has them right, so not sure why they don’t show up with that filter (some do, but I see a bunch which don’t.)

I’m now in the process of copying as many as possible of my watchlisted items from Plex to a couple of other “where to watch” services. This filter has been unreliable for too long now. Unfortunately, all these services seem to have their problems and inaccuracies, and it’s too early for me to identify a clear “this one is best”. I don’t plan to stop using Plex’s watchlist and “where to watch” features, as I do like a lot of things about the interface and layout (in browser). But two different layers of inaccuracy is one layer too many for me to keep relying on Plex as my primary service in this matter.

I’m also seeing this problem. As of the date of this posting, I have Hancock (2008) in my watchlist. It currently shows as available to stream on Netflix when I view the details for the film in my watchlist, but if I filter by available on my services, it doesn’t show up. The interesting thing is that Shrek 3 does show up as a movie currently streaming on Netflix, so if I were to guess, there is a problem in the DB that is marking this metadata as available on Netflix, but the filter is referencing a different id or reference id for the Netflix service maybe these reference ids for service names have changed over time and there needs to be a refresh in my db?

Confirming the same happening for movies & shows available on my streaming services, but aren’t reflected as available on those same services in the Plex Watchlist. Also have some shows in my Watchlist (i.e. Survivor) that don’t appear in “Recommended” when new episodes are available. And Plex still has issues linking to streaming services in the Watchlist, even though they have been selected in “My Services.”
