Migrating from Ubuntu to M1 Mac Mini

I’m attempting to migrate my install from a NUC running Ubuntu to a new M1 Mac Mini.

  • Turned off all library updates/trash emptying
  • Zipped the Plex Media Server folder on Ubuntu
  • Unzipped the Plex Media Server folder on Mac
  • Moved the Prefrences.xml file out of the Plex Media Server folder and renamed it com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.plist

When I started the server I quit the setup process and went to server settings and all my libraries were missing. And when I open the Library settings, the empty trash after each scan setting is turned on, making me think that none of my preferences probably came over.

I also tried deleting the .plist I created, and letting PMS create its own .plist, and then copying over the MachineIdentifier and ProcessedMachineIdentifier (restarting multiple times) but still my libraries don’t appear.

Any idea how to get my libraries to show back up?
