Migrating PMS from Windows to LXC on Proxmox doesn’t work

Hello,

I just migrated two servers for a friend from Windows to LXC on Proxmox. The first one was a success, while the second one failed.

I don’t quite understand the reason.

Technically, the migration was a success; the logs don’t show anything unusual, there are even logs of file processing in progress, but I still can’t access it via the web through the server’s IP, via app.plex.tv, or via an SSH tunnel with port forwarding to simulate localhost access, all without success.

There was even a maintenance step that clearly shows the success of the migration.

Do you have any suggestions?

That maintenance message means PMS is busy. You won’t be able to access your server until that message goes away.

The maintenance is actually over, and I still don’t have access, and the logs don’t show anything abnormal

This sounds like it’s either an account issue and you’re using different accounts, or a network issue and you are not local to the server. If you want to share your log, i can take a look.

You have a certificate issue. The cert from plex.tv isn’t matching the cert on the machine. Did you copy the setup from 1 machine to the other? That only works if you are moving a server. It will cause conflicts if you are making a second server.

Delete the cert file from the cache folder and allow the server to get a new one.

Thanks, I’ll test it when I can and get back to you. And yes, it was more of a migration from a Windows machine to Linux.
