Due to Plex not offering the promo codes to existing customers, their support suggested I set up a new account in order to get the benefits (despite then losing my username, most used email address, linked accounts etc). Rather than explain how to do it, they pointed me here.
So I just wondered if there is an easy way to migrate to a new account? Setting one up is easy enough but just wondered if it was possible to migrate all my setup\user info with it. Better still, if it was possible to keep my actual username and email addresses\linked accounts in the process.
Seems like a lot of hassle to make their customers go through just for them to stay a life-long user :-/
You will have to re-invite your shared users. (if you have any)
After the migration you can delete your old account. After 30 days, the email address associated with this old account will be “freed”. Then you can switch your new account to the old email address.

I agree, going there is more straightforward but it won’t allow for use of a promotional code with an account with an existing Plex Pass, unfortunately.
