Is there guidance to be found to help me in migrating my Plex system running on unRaid version 6.6.6 to a Plex docker, preferably the linuxserver.io docker?
I would like to keep all the history.
I am not that familiar with dockers and some of what I have found seems to assume you must have a very good working knowledge of it.
Ok I’ve got the history and settings moved over and Plex sees them. However, Plex does not see any of the media files. I gave the docker a path parameter to \mnt\user where I have my media shares located (Video, Music). Do I need a path parameter for each media share?
You need to use the path name that the parameter refers to, like this.
When you browse for a folder to add to a library you choose the /data path. See below.
Does that make sense?
Yes it does. I forgot that the docker does not have access to the paths defined within the Plex parameters. I went into each media type and changed them to the docker paths. It seems like everything is working, but time will tell since it has a rather large library to pull in.
It seems my Android app is having difficulty connecting. I’ve checked the remote status and it shows green. I can go to Plex.tv with the browser on the device, and it connects fine. Router is set up to allow port forwarding too.
