I’m not sure if this is the correct place to post…
Having set up shares on my unRAID NAS, I have started loading Films onto the NAS (using the “Films” share). I’m already using PLEX on my Windows PC but now want to extend PLEX to the NAS.
I’ve downloaded the PlexMediaServer docker (from the unRAID docker screen) successfully but I’m having problems getting it to “see” the Films I’ve loaded. I found a Youtube video online but it was for a different version of unRAID and the screens don’t match my version.
I’ve looked through some of the questions here but can’t find anything relevant or understandable for that matter. Could someone please help walk me through the correct mapping required and then the appropriate settings in Plex itself?
So I added a host path called /media that maps to /mnt/user on the Unraid system which is where all your shares live.
This way when you are in plex you can add a library called Movies going to /media/movies which will be your /mnt/user/movies share and you can add /media/tv for your TV library if that makes sense…
Ah thank you, finally worked it out as the “mapping” screen is called “Add Configuration” in v6.3.5! I hadn’t realised initially that the “Media” path was a catch-all for the various shares. Anyway, all sorted and Plex sees the “Films” I’ve added and has added them to the Library. Job done, now to transfer all my other films!
What would happen if you have 6 libraries how you mount 6 because it seen to me you only can mount media.
I have same question let see on my mac I mount the server now I have a folder call media and I add a 5 sub folder
Media/ kids
Media/ Horror
Media/movies
Now when you get media all the horror and kids movies are in the same library
