For purely narcissistic reasons, I’d like to create a guest account to my music server that reflects all the ratings and playlists that I’ve put together on my admin account. Is there a way all my friends can get the benefits of my good taste without having to be in my admin account?
If they are at your home you could create a managed users (let’s call it “music mlibrik” for now) and use this account to rate the songs.
Or you could try to create a smart playlist and share this playlist with “music mlibrik” Then let your guest access your guest account and your music library.
I’m not sure if a shared user sees your ratings but IIRC he doesn’t 
If you have an old iPad or iPhone you could us PlexAmp. Log in with your admin account and switch to the guest user (in this case I would recommend to protect your admin account with a PIN). Your guest could connect some BT speakers/headphones to the device or stream it to Sonos or an AirPlay or Cast compatible device in the same subnet.
