Mini PC options for plex server and player

I am already running plex server on my ds218+. After dealing with fire and android devices I am considering upgrading one device to a mini PC and then adding extra storage to run a second server to record with. I have been looking at the beelink n100 16gb ddr5 or the ser5 Ryzen 7 5800h. I’ve read Intel is better for encoding but really am not sure what option is better for my needs. Should I also consider an i5 or 7 option. I am mainly looking for some better performance with better storage options without android fat32 limitations. Thanks.

Are you planning on using this as a server and player?

I can’t speak to using one of them as a server but for a player I didn’t have a good experience. I ended sending mine back

I had an old optiplex small form factor I just threw a Nvidia card in and it works much better

The ser5, i5, or i7 may be much better but for the cost, you’re getting into an area you could build something with a half decent graphics card

This post is after I had just bought mine with the n100

For server, perfect.
For player, perfect… BUT using old versión of Plex htpc. (More smooth)

N5105, n100, n6005 allá can hw decode x265 10bits hdr.

Pd i’m only using windows, Linux is imposible for me(no hw decode Plex htpc, no smooth,)
