Minimum automatic collection size of "2" not honored

I converted to using the new Plex Movie Agent and am seeing an issue. I have set my minimum to 2 for collections yet after running the change to new Plex Movie agent I started seeing lots of collections with must one movie. Is there another setting I am missing - possibly a conflicting setting somewhere?

Looking at just one of the movies on my server that wasn’t added to a collection that was created and has just 1 movie in it I see that it was in a preexisting collection when I made the switch to the new agent and it was locked. Which is something I don’t remember doing - locking the field.

Removing the pre-existing collection and unlocking the field then running refresh metadata on the movie added it to the Collection it was missing from. This raises the qeustion. How do I do that en-masse? How do I know which movies have locked tag fields?

Are those collections you already had before migrating to the new agent?
Keep in mind Plex does not delete those (nor apply the new threshold parameter to them).

Yes, I think that these movies were in a collection that I deleted after I migrated. The odd thing is that deleting the collection didn’t remove the tag for the collection in the movie’s metadata. I am going to need a way to find movies with that tag and remove it.

You should still be able to e.g. use a custom filter. At least in German, the new agent is adding the German word for “Collection” next to the actual collection title – if it does the same in English you might be able to distinguish those old / new collections.
After filtering you can mass-edit them all using multi-select.

That seems odd, why can’t they be in more than one collection? So I would have had to remove all my personal collections and rebuild them after the migration in order for them to be in more than one collection?

They can be… it’s probably a design decision from Plex not to overwrite your existing collections.
As for mass-editing: once you selected the applicable files, go into edit mode and set the lock for the collections tag, save it, go into edit mode again and remove the lock – that should do the job so Plex will automatically apply the collection tags from then on.

It does until I select all of the movies. Selecting the first row it remains.

Oh it’s because collections are showing on the main screen

Set the sorting order to something else than ‘Title’. Then collections don’t appear.
