Minor issue... audio playback "jump to letter"

I love music. Even music that isn’t in English. There lies the minor problem. In the Artist view of my iTunes library in Plex, it shows the “jump to letter” option on the far right of the screen. Unfortunately, because my non-English music has a tremendous amount of different characters, my “jump to letter” option looks like this:

I’m not sure what a better option would be… scrolling DIV, drop-down, etc… so this is just a very minor feature request. If it doesn’t get implemented, no biggie.

This is for the browser client, by the way.

You’ve stumbled upon an edge case that I don’t think was considered. Any suggestion on how this should be handled?

It’s tricky. The div used for displaying album art scrolls… Taking out the style line-height from the CSS allows the letters not to be squished on top of each other, but it doesn’t scroll. Any way a scrolling div can be used for the alpha-bar-list-item?

Edit: Goofing with developer tools some more, I can add the “scroll-container” class to that div and it does scroll… but it takes over the album art scroll bar and the letters appear in the center of the screen. I’m not familiar with all the classes you have set up, but it looks like making that div scrollable will solve the issue.

Thanks. I’ll let the devs know.

Got an update. This is a known limitation when it comes to foreign languages, especially to ones without an alphabet. A scroll bar could work for Plex Web but that won’t work on other clients, so they need to look for a better solution that will fit all clients. Just curious, does having a jump to list even make sense in your case? Since there isn’t an alphabetical order, how do you even find the character you want?
