Missing Book/Album covers

Has plex changed the metadata scanner for audio radically in the last 4-5 months? I use Plex for listening to audio books. I store the book cover in both a local jpg file and embedded into the mp3’s. Last batch of books I added was about 4 months ago. I just added some more and I cannot get the cover art to populate. Is there a trick for that now?

I don’t think anything major changed but I will ask the metadata guys when they are on. DO you have Prefer Local Metadata enabled in the library’s settings?

Thanks, here are a number of screenshots. Ive changed nothing in how I handle the audio files. You can see the recent additions dont have proper cover art while the older media does.

I can send you a PM with the plex logs if needed.
