In the past I have always used folder views for my photos and videos. Recently I lost (or misplaced) that capability relative to videos on my Plex mobile app and on the Samsung Smart TV Plex app. (the music and photos capabilities work fine on both). I upgraded the Plex server this month and uninstalled and reinstalled the mobile app but no change.
On my Samsung TV Plex app, when I go to photos, it has a “Browse All” selection which then shows all my folders and works great. But when I select videos, that option does not exist. It shows a number of seemingly random categories - “Recently Viewed”, “2011”, “Continue Viewing”, “The 2010’s”, “2013”, etc… All these categories are followed by a “More” selection which just shows more of that category.
On my mobile app, I cannot even find a videos library (even though I have one defined and loaded on my server). There is a “Movies” selection, but when selected it tells me there is no media in the library. When I click on “Add a Library”, it tells me to go to the server to add the library which of course already exists.
On my server, I have Music, Photos, and Videos defined as libraries and all work perfectly - displaying folders and allowing me to choose the folder and images or videos I wish to display.
Any suggestions?
