Once upon a time, before my Unraid cache drive became inaccessible, life with Plex was good. And then my appdata (library) backup vanished, and I had to recreate my Plex libraries. This has been mostly OK for my TV shows and movies.
Music is another story. After scanning and importing my collection, Plex only shows 40 artists. There should be over 150. The ‘missing’ music still exists in my Unraid music share, so I know the files are still there. Nothing has changed with the naming. I re-ran the Unraid permissions fixer, so music that does show up in Plex has the same permissions as the missing music.
What’s even more frustrating is that when I scan library files and click on Activity, I see Plex looking in music folders from which it ultimately does not add music. But I have no idea why.
Has anything like this happened to anyone else? I’m at a loss what to check or try next, short of just not using Plex for music anymore.
