The show “Jack of All Trades” doesn’t come up in search results. I understand that it’s not currently available anywhere. Does it need to be to show up in search?

Yes, it has to be on your server or be available to watch free from Plex to show up
Yes.
Search at justwatch.com. You’ll see the TV show is not available for streaming, but the 2019 movie, which does appear in Plex searches, is available from several locations (including Plex).
Also from streaming services.
That can’t be true.
Counter example “Rebecca (1940)” shows up in Discover when you search Plex. Search Plex Web using an incognito window to exclude any influecse from personal Plex servers.

Not available to stream, rent, or purchase anywhere.
Or media in the future that definitely isn’t available anywhere yet.
I’m not sure why it is not coming up in search but will try to find out when folks are back tomorrow
Yep. I was mistaken. Thanks for pointing it out.
Thank you SwiftPanda16. And thank you too BigWheel, for looking into it further.
It is because it is unrated. This was because of I think an over rotation when we were trying to make sure porn and such did not come up in search. I’m told are tweaking the ruleset soon.
Makes sense, tricky to get those rules just right, I’m sure. Also (and still), doesn’t show up in my Watchlist after adding, though it shows as “In Watchlist” on the show’s page.
How to check if it’s unrated? Any updates regarding the ruleset?
Can’t find
On TMDB it would be right under title of show. I’ll let folks know things are still missing
