Missing Tone Mapping Algorithm Option

Server Version#: 1.41.5.9522
Player Version#: Any

Bit of a weird one. I migrated my Plex to a new computer following the wiki instructions:
https://support.plex.tv/articles/201370363-move-an-install-to-another-system/

Post everything is working fine. The new PC is running Windows 11.

GPU is Intel Iris Xe

  • I can enable HDR tone mapping and it seems to work
  • I see the options for Saturation/Contrast/Brightness
  • I do not see the option for the tone mapping algorithm

I tested this with a fresh install on a duplicate system I have (same mini PC) and that option was available.

Any idea? Is it related to the drop in of my old Plex files + registry settings perhaps?

I did an update to the latest Beta but it did not solve the problem.

From HDR to SDR Tone Mapping | Plex Support:

Most operating systems running Plex Media Server have the ability to select which tone mapping algorithm is used (except on windows intel)

Since you’re using Intel+Windows, you can’t set the algorithm, but (as noted in the next section) you do at least have some control over the output with the fields in your screenshot.

Good catch @DTR

It’s strange, I swear I saw that option in my older PC - Windows 10 with an Intel 7500T CPU and Intel 620 HD GPU.

I’ll take a look and confirm later on.
