Missing Trailers!

I’ve been noticing for a few weeks that PMS/Plex (Roku) isn’t showing or finding the trailers for the incoming movies. This is really frustrating.

And it’s not like the trailers on YouTube are missing. I normally find the trailer for the movie just by doing a search on YouTube for “Movie” “Official trailer” and it’s the first result.

Please FIX this problem.I’m not at all enjoying this lack of functionality.

OR Please provide a drop-down from YOUTUBE of possible trailers we (the users/admins) can choose from.

For God’s sake, if you crowdsourced the movies with the trailers that people have already in their libraries, found/assigned from YouTube, you’d never have an un-trailered movie again.

Please fix this problem, or make it better, OR tell me some suggestions on how to resolve this issue. Please.

Plex does not use trailers from YouTube. These are provided by another online source. Please note that trailers are added by PMS when you add the movie. Please double check and make sure your library is using the Plex Movie agent. If you use TheMovieDB, they will not get trailers.

It’s too bad PMS/Plex isn’t smart enough to aggregate all the available information to just fill in the blanks. I don’t presume to understand why using one agent over another would disable another feature, but most people would assume an agent would ‘just work’ in concert.

To your comment, trailers are added when movies are; does that mean I’m NOT going to have a trailers for those movies unless I re-add all of them?

I hope not, because that sounds like lazy logic.

If you activate the line ‘Plex Movie’ under
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - The Movie Database
you should get trailers for these as well. (As long as these are “cinema movies”)

Yes; these are cinema movies.
And I have checked and rechecked the settings to ensure Plex Movie is checked and TheMovieDB is turned off/deselected. I restarted PMS and it’s having no effect.

For example; I have a new movies; 6 Underground and Ready or Not; both have no trailer.
