Why does it go to another season several times as you can see here in the video? Does it have something to do with my account or my plex server or both, or is there a bug with the seasons, or is it just the way they are uploaded?
I cannot sent a video
What? Why is that going on?
Do you know that?
Sadly your image doesn’t give a very clear idea of what you experience. Would you mind trying to explain what is happening
Edit:
just what you see and when it happens (e.g. where you’ve been clicking to see this, what you were doing in Plex when it happened)
I cannot sent a video
When I’m inside a series like you see in the picture. so if I think hitting a season in the game of thrones and going out of season, then sometimes another season is sometimes marked. why does it happen?
do I understand this correctly?
- you open a season from the tv-show’s main page
- you click menu/back on the Siri remote to return to the tv-show’s main page
- the selected season on the tv-show’s main page isn’t the one you had selected in step 1
I’m not sure I understand if/how that’s a problem?
Did you know you don’t have to return to the tv-show’s main page to switch seasons? You can also swipe up and should see a list of tabs for each season.
That’s almost right. But the problem is that when I go to the TV show’s head, another season almost immediately afterwards is sometimes marked. it does not happen every time. but sometimes. such every third time.
From personal experience I know that the Siri Remote / Apple TV navigation can be a bit jumpy at times.
So that is not a issue? But why is that going on? This is my apple tv remote.
I don’t know.
I’ve recently had a support call with Apple but they weren’t really able to help me except for some generic troubleshooting (e.g. “are there devices which could interfere with the communication of your Siri remote and the Apple TV?”).
Do you experience the same if you’re using your TVs remote (or the remote on an iPhone/iPad’s control center)?
No. But the only thing I experience is what I have explaining to you. But you say some devices can interfere with it and that it can get nervous? What do you mean by nervous? But is there an error with my Plex account or Plex server or both?
No, you misunderstood.
I was only sharing what Apple told me when I complained about the weird behavior I occasionally experienced with the Siri remote. “Interfering” means they wanted me to check if there’s some wireless devices that could mix up what happens between the remote and the TV. Nothing to be nervous about.
None of this relates to an error of your Plex account or server. My experience was only about the Apple TV and the Siri remote which were impacting all my Apple TV apps (incl. Plex).
So because I experience the things I have explained to you is not due to errors on My Plex account or server or both? But Why does it happen to me? No, i didnt misunderstood
Correct
I don’t know.
I was telling you about one potential cause (based on potential Apple TV / remote issues). There could be others
I have no problems with my remote control or apple tv? There is nothing wrong with my apple tv? What could it Else be?
Or what?
Can there be an issue with my apple tv? Or my apple tv remote or both?
It could be… hence my example earlier.
Do you have an iPhone or iPad? You can test the behavior using the remote widget on the iOS/iPadOS Control Center. If this remote app works, this indicates it could be an issue with the Siri remote.
You could test the same with your TV’s remote if the Apple TV and your TV allow using a single remote (technical term for this is HDMI CEC but this shouldn’t concern us here).
