Would it be possible to include mixed content sections in the future? This would be great for documentaries for example to include both media from Movies and TV shows. Thanks!
I personally break up my Documentaries into two sections: Documentary Shows (TV) and Documentaries (movies). I guess I don’t mind it that much because I’m usually in the mood for one or the other 
Ya that’s one way to do it. It makes the homescreen a little more bloated that way though.
It’s more of a pain for anime, where you have sometimes-shaky differentiation between series, OVA’s, and movies. I understand that it’s got to be difficult with different metadata agents involved, but I’d like to see it as well.
This is what I currently do and I don't like it. And my wife absolutely HATES it.
This could be solved if the scanner type operated at the directory level rather than the Section level. i.e I could create a section called whatever I want and choose the Movie, TV or Home Movie scanner for each directory I add to it.

what about doing it the other way round.
introduce something like metasections that merge contents of multple
sections into one and allow to set some sort of filter to exclude stuff.
This is an old conversation. Has there been any changes or features added to accomodate mixed content? I cant find any additional conversations on here which address what I see as Plex’s biggest failure.
